Lucie McGuire (@thetravelinglucie) is the founder of The Traveling Youth and she was inspired to start this organization because of her own Study Abroad experience in 2018 to Czech Republic & Hong Kong!

She never originally planned on taking a Study Abroad trip but some unexpected circumstances ended up leading her to the opportunity and she ran with it!
.
This trip sparked so many new interests including history, culture, and exploration. She left wanting more, and took a 3 month backpacking trip to 10 additional countries after her Study Abroad was complete. It ended up being a life-changing experience for her!

Lucie has now made it her mission in life to help as many people as possible travel and explore our beautiful world. She creates weekly travel tip videos and interviews other travelers from around the world on her channel ‘The Traveling Lucie’ to help share their stories to help inspire others!

📍 Pisa, Italy
Heather is a student currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
She heard about her school’s Study Abroad program over the course of the years attending college and never saw it as realistic possibility that she could travel Europe while being in school and working Full Time (and multiple jobs)…. she didn’t know it yet, but she was wrong!
About 8 months before her trip she decide to follow her dream and take the trip across the world to visit Spain, Italy, and France on a 2 week adventure with a group of students.
The only regret she has was wishing she had done it sooner! The exposure to such beautiful countries and cultures inspired her to want to travel all over the world. Since her study abroad she has traveled to New York and Colorado (pre-COVID) to curb that travel bug while she finishes her degree.
She looks forward to doing more international travels when she finishes school!

“Coming from a family of frequent travels, with members stretched around the US and Canada, I’ve always had a nomadic spirit. I was fortunate enough to travel down to Brazil and Puerto Rico in the past, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2018 where I was able to venture over to Europe and Asia. This study abroad trip truly expanded my horizons and connected me with many amazing people of like-mind.
Since the initial summer abroad trip, I decided a month was too short an adventure and moved to Prague for my MBA. This allowed me to explore new European cities with ease and even found great prices for tickets to Israel!
Studying abroad has increased my network of friends from nearly every point of the globe and exposed me to many new ideas, flavors, and cultural experiences. It’s truly life-changing to get out of your comfort zone and into new areas of the world. Get out there and Be Nomadic by Nature”
